Performance is part of the design

A beautiful interface that arrives late is not delivering the experience it was designed to create.

A beautiful interface that arrives late is not delivering the experience it was designed to create.

Loading is a user experience

Image weight, font behavior, layout shifts and third-party scripts influence how confident a visitor feels. Performance is not merely an engineering score; it is part of the product’s first impression.

Spend effort where it matters

Use appropriately sized images, reserve image space, lazy-load content below the fold and avoid adding libraries for effects that can be built with a few lines of CSS. Measure real pages before deciding what to optimize.

Keep motion efficient

Prefer transform and opacity for simple animation. Avoid constant expensive effects on large areas of the page, and respect reduced-motion preferences. A responsive interface should remain responsive while it moves.

The practical goal is not a promised score. It is a site that loads reliably and responds quickly across realistic devices and connections.
